Oops

I apologize for not having posted something in the past few weeks. I was trying to hold out until this weekend, as I am going on a ski trip and I thought it would be nice to post a few pictures after that, but I figured a small post now wouldn't hurt.

So what have I been up to? Well the first thing that comes to mind is hockey this week. I had my last two games on Monday and Tuesday. Both of my teams lost in the first round of the final tournament, but the co-rec game was a heart-wrencher. We went into the tournament with no wins, so of course we were seeded against a higher ranked team. Surprisingly we tied the game 3-3 and went into overtime. You'd think it would stop there, but we held them in overtime twice and went to a shootout to decide the game. After the shootout, both teams had scored 2 goals, so we proceeded to have everybody on the roster participate until we were out of players. We then had to start from the top of the roster again. At this point, the other team scored a goal that we couldn't match, so we ended up losing. It was painful. The men's game we just flat out lost 3-1.

Another exciting occurence in the past few weeks was the 8 inches (or so) of snow that we got. I hadn't been in that much snow for a while, so it was nice to have to trudge through the winter whiteness for a few days, despite the blisteringly cold wind and sub-zero temperatures.

Oh, speaking of hockey and winter, I played broomball a week or so ago with the department, and it was AWESOME. I had forgotten exactly how much fun broomball can be. I'm looking forward to playing again hopefully a few more times intermittently throughout the year. I was a bit crazy on the ice, as I would run harder than anybody else and just stop myself on the side of the ice rink, so I was typically falling over but seeing a lot of broomball action.

Dad came to see my last week, as he had some appointments with clients throughout Indiana and Illinois for a few days, but thanks to the snow, many of them were canceled so he just stayed at my apartment from Monday to Wednesday. It was good to see him, and Eddie and I made dinner on Tuesday for the first time in a while, and that was also nice. Brian will be visiting next week, so I'm planning to have a pizza night and possibly a Trivial Pursuit showdown. We'll see how that goes. I'm hoping that I won't be busy at all next week. The following week I have final exams, so I should probably start studying for those... now. I don't really want to think about the next few weeks.

Anyway, I need to get to bed. I'll post more after the weekend when I should have some pictures. Sorry if this post was a bit scattered- I haven't really organized my thoughts, and I've got a lot to finish before leaving for Wisconsin on Friday. Hope all is well!

KEVIN!

Great to hear that you are still alive. I was wondering what happened to you, since you had not posted in a while. Anyways, life has been pretty ordinary for me, being in KY and all. I saw your friends from Cary made it big on Superbowl day, having their commercials shown to millions of viewers. Well, write back to me when you get a chance. I know you are busy and all, but don't forget about your Bengali bud.
